Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
GuidanceMitra Consultancy ("GuidanceMitra", "we", "us") provides psychometric stream assessments, reports and career counselling services to school students, their parents and partner schools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
- Account details — name, email address, class/grade and school name provided during signup or onboarding.
- Assessment data — your responses to assessment questions, section progress, computed scores and the stream recommendations generated from them.
- School-provided data — when your school enrols you for an assessment event, we receive your enrolment details and event passkey allocation from the school.
- Technical data — basic device and usage information (browser type, pages visited) used to keep the platform secure and reliable.
- Site analytics — we count page visits using Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and reports only aggregate figures. Links that could identify you, such as report share links and password-reset links, are stripped before anything is counted.
- Visit source — if you arrive through one of our tagged links (for example from our Instagram page) or from another website, your browser remembers that source for up to 30 days. If you buy during that time, the source is saved with your order so we know which channels are useful. It records only the campaign and website name, never who you are.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To conduct assessments and generate your personalised stream recommendation report.
- To share results with your school's authorised administrators, where the assessment was organised by your school.
- To let you share your report with parents or guardians through a secure share link that you control.
- To provide counselling services, respond to queries and improve our assessment quality.
- To send essential service communications such as password resets and assessment reminders.
3. Students and Minors
Most of our users are students below 18 years of age. We collect only the information needed to deliver the assessment and expect that students use the platform with the knowledge and consent of a parent, guardian or school. Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to review or request deletion of their child's information.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:
- Your partner school's authorised administrators, for assessments conducted through the school.
- Anyone you choose to share your report with via your report share link.
- Service providers who help us run the platform (e.g., hosting), bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities, where required by applicable law.
5. Data Security & Retention
We protect your data using industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), token-based authentication and role-based access controls. Assessment records are retained while your account remains active or as needed to provide services to your school, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
6. Your Rights
You (or your parent/guardian) may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by writing to us at the address below. If your assessment was organised through your school, we may coordinate with the school to action your request.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
