Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GuidanceMitra website, assessments, reports and counselling services (together, the "Services") operated by GuidanceMitra Consultancy. By creating an account, redeeming an event passkey or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are below 18 years of age, you should use the Services with the consent of a parent, guardian or your school.

1. Our Services

GuidanceMitra provides scientifically designed psychometric assessments that evaluate aptitude, interest, personality and subject affinity to recommend suitable academic streams (such as Science, Commerce or Humanities) to school students, along with reports and optional counselling sessions.

2. Accounts & Event Passkeys

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account or completing onboarding.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• Event passkeys issued by your school are for your individual use only and may not be shared, resold or transferred.
• Schools and their administrators are responsible for the accuracy of enrolment data they provide to us.

3. Assessments & Fair Use

• Attempt assessments honestly and independently — results are meaningful only when answers reflect your own preferences and abilities.
• Do not copy, reproduce, distribute or publish assessment questions or content in any form.
• Do not attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the platform.

4. Reports & Recommendations Are Guidance, Not Guarantees

Our recommendations are generated from your assessment responses using standardised scoring models. They are intended to support — not replace — your own judgement and discussion with parents, teachers and counsellors. GuidanceMitra does not guarantee admission to any stream, course or institution, nor any specific academic or career outcome. Where a report indicates low confidence, we recommend a counselling session before making a final decision.

5. Report Sharing

You may share your report with parents or guardians using the secure share link provided in your dashboard. Anyone holding the link can view the shared report, so share it responsibly. Schools that organise assessments may access the reports of their enrolled students through authorised administrators.

6. Intellectual Property

All assessment content, scoring models, reports, branding and software are the intellectual property of GuidanceMitra Consultancy or its licensors. Your report is for your personal, non-commercial use.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GuidanceMitra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the Services, including decisions taken on the basis of assessment reports. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid (if any) for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

8. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for misuse of the platform, violation of these Terms, or at a partner school's request for school-managed accounts. You may stop using the Services at any time and request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts at Gurgaon, Haryana shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
